Our in-house, State-of-the-Art lab is equipped with complete tool set for in depth analysis of Semiconductors, including for the circuit preparation:

- The in house lab is augmented by the process and materials analysis capabilities of our Taiwanese partner.  
Even the best equipment is no substitute for the human know how and expertise. We are the industry leader in chip de-processing with capabilities covering the spectrum, including flip-chip de-capsulation, Cu chip de-layering, and deep sub-micro imaging.  
De-processing and imaging service, the foundation for results excellence
Our in-house facilities setup focus on two applications for chip preparation: de-processing and imaging, The Lab contains three conjoined clean rooms housing chemical lab universal operation & observation, and unattended SEM scanning.

De-processing

   
Both chemical and physical means are employed during the de-capsulation and de-layering process. Besides the delayering tools, we also employ analytical tool set for triage and progress monitoring.
As there are hundreds kinds of packaging methods, we solve everyday big challenges.
The key for PCB and IC analysis is getting high quality die images for each layer of metal interconnect and the device layer. It is more challenging to remove any of these layers then to create them.
Imaging  

Optical microscopy is the most practical for imaging die with feature size >.25

UV microscopy is utilized for 0.18um imaging while for 0.13um or smaller feature size, SEM is used to capture the image.
Besides resolution, there are many other problems to be considered to image large area chip die, e.g., transparency, depth of field, imaging speed, stitching and alignment, and the capability of handling huge photo amount.
Regardless of tools employed, the automated image capture, precise stitching / alignment, and high efficiency image browsing are guarantee high productivity.
